The Zoning Hearing Board is convened on an as-needed basis, typically the third Monday of the month at 7:30 pm.  Hearings are held before the Zoning Hearing Board on matters of requests for special exceptions and/or variances to the Zoning Ordinance.  Prior to the Zoning Hearing, the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors review Zoning Hearing applications.  Click here to see the complete 2019 meeting schedule (last revised May 9, 2019).

Public Hearing Application:  Zoning Hearing.  Please refer to the Site Plan/Plot Plan requirements to assist you in submitting a complete public hearing application.

 

The Zoning Hearing Board will hear variance application #2019-4 on Monday, July 22, 2019, at 7:30 pm in the meeting room of the Township Administration Building, 500 Suplee Road.  The applicant, David Fisher of Compass Road, is seeking a variance from 27-1705.F.(4) of the Zoning ordinance of 2018 in order to erect a greenhouse structure within the front yard setback at 991 Compass Road.  Click here to see the hearing notice in its entirety.   All interested persons are invited to attend and participate.

Application (#2019-2) of Steven K. Kauffman of 2830 Cambridge Road, on behalf of Christ S. Kauffman, 979 Mill Road (Tax Parcel Number 22-6-23), for a variance from Section 27-1027.C. of the Honey Brook Township Zoning Ordinance (ZO) of 2018, in order to install an ECHO exceeding 1,000 square feet in the A – Agricultural zoning district was POSTPONED from July 1, 2019 for at least 60 days.

The Zoning Hearing Board granted application #2019-3, application of Daniel K. Blank, 705 Broad Street, Honey Brook, (TPNs 22-6-17 & 22-6-18) on Monday, July 1, 2019.  The applicant sought a variance from Section 27-1033.H.10.a. of the ZO of 2018, to erect and use a building to house a Rural Occupation exceeding maximum building coverage and impervious coverage at 6401 Meadville Road, Narvon in the A – Agricultural zoning district.  The formal decision is due within 45 day.

The Zoning Hearing Board granted application #2019-1 of Shared, LLC (Tax Parcel Number 22-8-68.5) on Monday, June 3, 2019.  The applicant sought a special exception to Section 27-502.B.9 of the Township Zoning Ordinance of 2018 in order to construct a multi-family dwelling and more than one upper-level apartment at 2351 Chestnut Tree Road.  To see the legal advertisement in its entirety, click here.  The written decision is due within 45 days of the decision.
