The Zoning Hearing Board is convened on an as-needed basis, typically the third Monday of the month at 7:30 pm.  Hearings are held before the Zoning Hearing Board on matters of requests for special exceptions and/or variances to the Zoning Ordinance.  Prior to the Zoning Hearing, the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors review Zoning Hearing applications.  Click here to see the complete 2020 meeting schedule.

The Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) heard application #2020-2, a variance by William Brackley, III, of 172 Morgantown Rd., on Monday, March 16 at 7:30 pm.  The ZHB  approved the variance from Section 27-1002.A.(1) of the Zoning Ordinance of 2018, as amended, in order for the applicant to construct an Accessory Dwelling Unit in the basement of the premises.  A written decision is due within 45 days of the date of the hearing.

Zoning Hearing  Application #2020-1 was withdrawn by the applicant.

Application 2019-5 of James B. Stoltzfus, a variance to 27-1903.A.(4) in order to reconstruct an agricultural building within the front yard setback in the BI – Business Industrial District, was reviewed by the Planning Commission on July 25, 2019 but TABLED by the Board of Supervisors at their meeting on August 14, 2019.  The applicant has additional information to provide before the application may move forward.
