A free gardening class, “Common Garden Pests: Identification and Management”,will be hosted by the Chester County Food Bank Raised Bed Garden program at Springton Manor Farm, 860 Springton Road, Glenmoore, on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Master Gardener David Ryle* will be your guide as you learn which insects to look out for in your vegetable garden and how keep pests under control organically. The class will begin indoors in the Springton Manor Classroom and continue down in the demonstration garden.

*David Ryle is a program director at Triskeles, a local non-profit organization, where he leads an effort to address food insecurity through raised-bed gardening. He has over ten years of experience in organic agriculture and brings practical know-how and a conviction for sustainable solutions to his life and work. He and his wife operate a homestead near Pottstown where they raise chickens, vegetables and herbs.
