The 2020 Census is inviting everyone to respond. 95% of households will receive their invitation in the mail; almost 5% will be dropped off by a census take, and less than 1% will be counted in person by a census taker.
The invitation will arrive between March 12 and March 20, giving households the option to respond online. Please note that the U.S. Census Bureau does NOT share personally identifiable information with anyone.
A reminder letter will arrive between March 16 and March 24; and reminder postcards will be sent between March 26 & April 3.
A second reminder letter will arrive with a paper questionnaire between April 8 and April 16.
A final reminder postcard will be sent between April 20 and 27.
Everyone counts! Responding to the 2020 Census is our civic duty and affects the allocation of funding for our community’s public resources, how we plan for the future, and our voice in government.
