The Chester County Health Department (CCHD) has announced that it has updated its Municipal Waste Plan, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act, 53 P.S. § 4000.101, et seq., (“Act 101”). All counties are obligated to prepare a Municipal Waste Management Plan which establishes an appropriate system to ensure the proper management, collection, transporting, recycling, and disposal of all municipal waste generated within the county, and requires such plans to be updated every ten (10) years. The Chester County Plan for the ten-year period 2023-2033 is available for public comment from June 12-September 11, 2023.
