Located at 173 Suplee Road, the park is open from dawn to dusk each day.  The park’s three ballfields are routinely used in the Spring and Fall as the home fields for the Twin Valley Little League.  Other park amenities include two children’s play equipment areas, pavilion, tennis courts, basketball court, concession stand, a walking trail around the park, a batting cage, restrooms, and a sand volleyball court.  A sign listing the park’s rules is posted near the entrance.

The picnic pavilion is available for residents to reserve free of charge on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. The pavilion includes outdoor grills and picnic table seating as well as a hitching post.  The parking lot is by the entrance; handicap access is via the trail leading from the tennis courts around the walking trail to the pavilion. Both the pavilion and ballfields can be reserved by filling out a Park Facilities Use Application and returning it to the Township Administration Office by e-mail to kbry [at] honeybrooktwp.org, by dropping off in person during normal business hours (or in the drop box in the parking lot after hours), or by mailing to Honey Brook Township, P.O. Box 1281, Honey Brook, PA 19344, Attn: Kris Bry.  A security deposit of $100 is required to make the reservation, which will be returned provided that there is no damage to the facility used or to the surrounding area.

Equipment Available

Residents may borrow one set of bases for the ballfield or pickleball equipment at no charge for use at the park from the Township Administration Office, 500 Suplee Road. The equipment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis from an outdoor storage box located to the left of the main entrance to the Office.  Please return all equipment once you are done using it.

Struble Lake, located at 301 Morgantown Road in Honey Brook, is a 386-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating.

The Lake has a number of warmwater/cool water fish species, with good to excellent fishing for walleye, channel catfish and black crappie.  All Pennsylvania fishing regulations apply.

Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. One launch ramp is available along with associated parking facilities at the entrance off of Morgantown Road.  All boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit issued by the Fish and Boat Commission or the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

The State-owned property around the lake is also available for hunting subject to PA Game Commission regulations.

Access onto to the dam is strictly prohibited.

Lanchester Landfill Nature Trail

The Chester County Solid Waste Authority’s Lanchester Landfill Nature Trail is open to the public free of charge on Sundays from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. from early May until late October each year.

The trail is about a four-mile round trip.  There is also a playground with swings, picnic tables, benches, bird and bat houses and a scenic overlook.

Park at the Small Load Facility.  Leashed pets are welcome.  Fires, smoking, alcohol and horses are not permitted.
