Land Preservation Committee (LPC)

Formed in 2006, the LPC is an advisory body that works closely with the Chester County Open Space Department and Brandywine Conservancy to promote the agricultural preservation and conservation easement programs available to Township landowners.  The Committee also reviews applications for inclusion in these programs and then recommends the purchase of easements for action by the Board of Supervisors.

The LPC meets once a quarter on the third Tuesday of January, April, August, and October. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. except for the January meeting.  That meeting is held at 8:00 a.m., followed by a hearty “Farmer’s Breakfast” at 9:00 am with presentations about the land preservation program and other agricultural topics.  All residents and property owners in the Township are invited to attend. Reservations are required and the program is free! Contact the Township Administration Office at 610-273-3970 to RSVP no later than noon the week prior to the breakfast.
